H- History Discussion Group
What it is: We are continuing with the format of the past few years whereby each month sees a presentation by a member on a subject entirely of their choice. This allows the maximum opportunity to choose a topic from across history and continents. Latterly we have discussed the Enlightenment, the Pax Romana and the Roman Republic and the Paris Commune among other subjects. We encourage members to contribute but this is voluntary as the main purpose is to stimulate and encourage participation. Members come from different backgrounds and have differing interests which makes for entertaining and often wide ranging discussions. We are not restricted to the UK or Europe so if you have a subject that you are especially interested in we want to hear about it.
