H- History discussion group

The aim is to bring together people of any background who are interested in history and the history of ideas to facilitate discussion on a range of topics which will be chosen from the wonderful online resource that is the “In Our Time” website. Everyone is encouraged to contribute, so each month one member will lead the discussion with a presentation on an episode we have all listened to. We aren't looking simply to rehash what Melvyn Bragg and his guests have already discussed, but rather to use the episode as a jumping off point from which, for example, a particular point of interest might be developed. The main aim is for us all to enjoy stimulating debate and/or discussion in a welcoming environment.

The programme will be in place for the start of the year, but there will be flexibility to accommodate the interests of any new members as we progress. Please feel free to contact the group leader if you have any questions.
