There are two Travel Sections in York U3A, run by volunteer members, the two sections focus on different destinations. In both cases the trips are open to ALL York U3A members.
UK Travel - Day Trip are organised, usually by coach, to various destinations in the UK. In addition, short breaks, including 1 or 2 nights stay in hotels, are also arranged.
Overseas Travel - This group arranges holidays to Europe and beyond, usually of 7-10 days duration.
All trips are advertised in the York U3A newsletter, together with the relevant booking forms.
HOW TO BOOK
- Trips organised by the Travel "Group" are open to ALL York U3A members. Simply apply using the Booking Form for a particular trip.
- After a short waiting period to allow responses to come in following the announcement of a trip, the Bookings organiser allocates places on a "random draw" basis. Further bookings received are then treated on a "first come first served" basis.
- If a trip is fully booked, you will be contacted by phone and put on a waiting list. If a place then becomes available, you will be contacted again.
The travel Group maintains it's own website - click on the link to the right to see details of all trips planned and how to book.
