We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at 10.00am (excluding December).
The Winter's Tale
Henry IV Part 2
New Members always welcome
Our practice is to read two acts or so before each meeting, as this adds considerably to the enjoyment and appreciation of the play. In addition, we watch the play in performance through the medium of two contrasting DVDs and this often leads to a lively and interesting discussion.
We meet at the Volunteer Centre, Blists Hill Victorian Town, Legges Way, Madeley, Telford, TF7 5DU. There is a ‘Pay & Display’ car park for which the charge is £3.00.
Coffee is provided by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust at a modest cost of 25p.
The cost of purchasing DVDs and other outgoings is met by a yearly subscription of £4.00 per person, though this might be adjusted by agreement during the year to ensure that the group has sufficient funds to maintain the monthly meetings. However, we welcome temporary members who wish to join us for a particular play and pay a proportionate part of the full-year subscription.
There may also be opportunities during the year to see live performances to Shakespeare’s plays.
Purchased DVDs belong to the group for future enjoyment, either within the group or personally at home.
