Members are reminded:
You must not attend any session if you or anyone in your household are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or are self isolating.
The main symptoms of Covid-19 are:
• high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
• new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
• loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
We meet every Monday at various start points and usually walk around 6 miles.
All walks 10am start unless otherwise stated and sometimes we finish in a suitable watering hole at the end.
Check with the leader in case of inclement weather, the walk may be cancelled or re-arranged.
All are welcome to join us and check with the leader or co-ordinator if you have limited mobility.
PLEASE NOTE : YOU ARE WALKING AT YOUR OWN RISK-PLEASE WEAR STURDY FOOTWEAR AND SUITABLE CLOTHING.
It has been suggested by some of the walking group members, that once a month, a longer, more challenging walk could be added to the main programme.
Roger Hancock has agreed to organize this on the first Monday of each month. For the moment this group will be known as "The Grey Gazelles"
Co-ordinator is Cynthia Herrington; you can contact her by email at Cynthia Herrington
