We are running two Folk Dancing workshops on consecutive Thursdays, June 20th and 27th.
In the workshops, we plan to learn a variety of dances, including circle, set and paired formations. There will be no need to bring a partner, as we can pair up during the sessions, when needed.
The emphasis will be on having fun, while learning a new skill or practising a rusty one! Neither of us is an expert, so the dances we choose will be straightforward, easy to learn & danced to lively music.
Dancers should wear comfy clothing, and flat, smooth-soled shoes ( so you can turn and slide easily without injuring your knees or ankles).
We will be having breaks, but won’t be providing refreshments, so please bring your own water/ thermos etc.
If you would like to join one of the workshops, please contact Folk Dance Workshop Leader with the following information:-
1) Your name, U3A Membership number, and your telephone number (preferably landline)
2) Which workshop you’d prefer to attend – June 20th or June 27th
3) If you’d be able & willing to attend the other workshop, should your preferred choice be full
