Wet Felting This method uses coloured Merino wool fibres which are fused together to make a solid sheet of felt fabric using heat from hot water, olive oil soap, and friction which comes from rubbing, in a cane mat. This process is therefore unsuited to people with wool / lanolin or soap allergies. It is different to needle felting which is a dry method.
The three hour session should allow us to make both a flat piece and a shaped vessel.
The maximum number for this group will be 10 and participants will need to bring an old towel and a bar of soap. A small charge of £5, payable on the day, will be needed for the wool fibres and all made items can be kept.
