Intentionality

As John Searle says, "The most remarkable thing about the mind is not the fact that it is conscious, but that consciousness is typically about something."

Intentionality is this feature of being "about something" - it concerns what we are thinking about, and how we are thinking about it.

This session draws primarily on Searle but also on Scruton in order to help build up to the hardest idea in the theory of mind - consciousness.
