Medium Walks
The Worcester u3a walks start and finish at various locations on Fridays throughout the year.
Long Walks (5 to 7 miles) leaving at 10.00am
Medium Walks (5 to 6 miles) leaving at 10.00am
Short Walks (about 3 miles) leaving at 10.30am

Please see Dates for your Diary below for the current Walking Programme
Our Friday meetings often start at a pub. By arriving early we are usually able to use their facilities and book our lunch/snack if required with the publican. Around the halfway point on a walk we stop briefly for a 'banana' break.
Walks are planned and led by the group members ensuring a wide variety of locations. Help in planning walks is always available and new walk leaders are encouraged. Newly researched walks are welcome. Alternatively a library with over fifty walks is available for group members to select.
It is national u3a policy that dogs are not allowed on any u3a walks. Further details about this group is available by clicking on the 'Links' at the top of this page.
The group combines with the long and short walks groups to hold an Annual Meeting in January each year. A nominal subscription of £1 pa is collected at the meeting to help pay for maps, paper, printer ink etc.
We also organise an annual walking holiday, which is open to all group members and partners and is based in one of the hotels operated by HF Holidays. Due to the continued affects of COVID and policy changes with HF Holidays, detailed plans for future holidays are currently under review.
Pictures taken on the Coniston Holiday in April 2022. Past holidays have taken us to the Malham, Isle of Wight, Dovedale, Church Stretton, Derwent water, Dartmoor and Exmoor. Our next holiday is scheduled for April 2023 that will take us to St Ives.
