Would you be interested in joining a Lunch Group? Many other U3A branches have found this to be a success. The Group would be for single members and couples to meet once a month at different venues in the area.We would have lunch and socialise. If there is sufficient interest ,it is hoped to have the first meeting on February or March. We would possibly continue during the summer as a Coxon Group.
If you are interested please contact Sue Russell , Tel:01905 767779 for further details.
Coxon Summer Groups, May to August 2020
This summer, following last year's success, we plan to once again put on a Summer Programme which will be funded by the Coxon legacy.
Accordingly, we are inviting all members (not just current group leaders) to come forward with proposals for short term groups they would like to lead. Groups can run for just one session or for several sessions between May and the end of August but there will be a cap of £200 per group on total costs incurred.
We are hoping for an interesting and varied selection of activities. Potential group leaders will have support and assistance from our Group Coordinators and it will give you a chance to try out an idea without any long term commitment.
Looking forward to your response, please contact Adie Ditchburn , Assistant Groups’ Coordinator to discuss your ideas.

Beginners' Modern Greek
Hi - I'm a Modern Languages graduate and I have lived and worked in Greece for 20 years. During that time, I learnt Greek! I am interested in starting a Beginners' Modern Greek group and so, at the moment, I'd just like to gauge potential interest,
I was an English teacher for 17 years and have taught Greek privately to English speakers. I would base my lessons on a user-friendly BBC course. My aim would be a 'fun' introduction to what is a difficult language, which would be helpful to holiday makers and also give something of an insight into contemporary life and culture in Greece.
If you are interested please contact me ,Elizabeth McIndoe
