Summer Programme 2019

The University of Worcester is offering a range of activities for seniors at its Lakeside Campus over six weeks during July, August and September. Activities will include canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, archery, orienteering and bush craft and will take place on the following Tuesdays from 12.00 mid day to 2.00 pm:

30th July, 6th August, 13th August, 20th August, 27th August and 3rd September.

The programme costs £30 for the full six weeks and initially bookings will be taken for the full six weeks only. Subsequent bookings may be taken for individual sessions at £5 per session if places are available.

2018/19 Programme

The following activities are offered each week by the University of Worcester as part of its Seniors Programme for 2018/19. Some activities are available all year round including during university vacation periods. To check details and availability email the contacts shown. All activities are open to both men and women unless shown otherwise.

You do not need to be a U3A member to take part in the University's Seniors Programme. A pay as you play charge is made for each activity as shown below. However, if you prefer, you may buy Senior Membership from £18 to £25 per month depending on the range of activities taken. Application forms and further details are available from the University’s St. John’s Campus Sports Centre, The Riverside Centre or The McClelland Centre in the City Campus.

Cancellations and Timetable Changes
Occasionally the University may need to vary the time, day and location of sessions due to teaching and assessment requirements, university vacations and the availability of staff or accommodation. Where details of changes are known in advance they will be shown here. Changes will normally be announced during sessions but if in doubt you should email the contacts for each activity as shown above. Just click on the name shown.

Men's Keep Fit (Friday)
Due to the demand for places the university operates a book-ahead system for the weekly Men’s Keep Fit at the University Arena on Fridays at 10.00 am and 11.00 am. Participants must book their place and pay the normal £3 charge per session in advance. Bookings can be made at the University Arena reception desk. Booked places may be cancelled at any time during the week but anyone booking a place who then fails to attend on the booked day and time without cancelling will lose their fee. Members of the University’s Fitness Centre must show their membership card when booking a place and will be charged £3 for failure to attend a booked session.
