Now In its 6th year this group has progressed from its small beginnings to a well established group covering an interesting range of local stories from life in medieval Worcester, histories of local trades famous people and houses all presented by members and invited speakers with visits to museums churches and historic houses.
The programme for 2018/2019 will include the early career of Elgar, illustrated histories of Bewdley and Coalbrookdale, parks and gardens of Worcester and following on from the story of the Suffragettes we will learn about the Chartists and its local connection
Visits will include the Newland centre and Great Witley Church.
We are a friendly group meeting in a spacious hall on Ombersley Road and will welcome as many new members as possible for the new session starting on 18 September.
