Age UK Herefordshire & Worcestershire has a new wellcheck service for older veterans and their carers (includes National Service and Reserves).Joining Forces is part of a National Age UK project and is financed by the Aged Veterans Fund, financed by the Chancellor using LIBOR funds. We work in partnership with SSAFA, the armed forces charity. The free service provides information, advice and up to twelve weeks of personalised support for older veterans living in Worcestershire. We can visit people in their own homes or place of their choice, for a relaxed discussion about the areas of their life which they would like support or guidance with. We can help with things like (not limited to) benefits & pensions, accessing military grant funding & services, mobility aids & adaptations, socialising, accessing support services and using technology.
