Needlework

We can encompass any kind of stitchery, including crochet, knitting,
embroidery, tatting, etc.,
Everyone can do their own "thing", but occasionally we may try to do a Group project.
There are currently two needlework groups which are meeting, one on the first Tuesday of the month and the other on the second Tuesday of the month, both from 2 p.m until about 4 p.m. Anyone with some needlework ability is welcome.

The group completed a project and have very proudly donated a knitted blanket to The Sobell House Hospice here in Oxford.
We knitted rectangles of varying quality from oddments of wool, and Margaret and Jill used them to create a thing of beauty! Have look at the photos.

We also made twiddle muffs for dementia patients. Margaret sends these colourful pictures of the creations and of them being gratefully received by hospital staff. It's really lovely to see the skills of U3A members being shared.

Please contact the Group Leader by sending a message through the Contact page to Groups Enquiry
