Groups

From Art to Walking, Board games to Recorders, interest groups are at the heart of U3A activities for many of us. Several groups have welcomed new members in the past few weeks.

The groups meet at different times of the week and at different time intervals. For example, the Recorder group meets weekly so that they can keep up with practice, while the Book group meets monthly to give people the chance to read and enjoy a new book each time. Other groups, such as the Walking group, meet fortnightly. Many of their walks start within an easy distance of Woodstock and vary in length to suit different members. Recently, they have enjoyed walking along the canal and across the fields from Kidlington to Thrupp. Several meetings are now held in the Guide Hut in the centre of Woodstock, a spacious and well-ventilated area which many of our groups are finding convenient.
