Art Appreciation

Update February 2023

The Art Appreciation Group currently has 17 members, although due to family commitments or ill health, we usually have fewer people than this to each meeting. So for this reason the group is open and would welcome new members. You are welcome to come along and try a session to see if you would like to join.

In the past 18 months since we began as a group, several people have given talks. We have, on our own initiative, visited nearby art exhibitions and discussed them afterwards. We have also brought some of our own favourite works of art to show others, to describe what the work means to us and explain what we have found out about the artist. We are keen for everyone to put forward ideas as to what we might do in the future.

Meeting are held on the third Thursday of the month at 2.30 p.m. in the Wollaton Cricket Pavilion and it costs £3 to cover the room hire.
