SCIENCE
The Science group aims to meet on the first Thursday of each month from 10:00 am to 12:00 am. We have an eclectic group with a range of interests and experiences in science.
Recent meetings have, for example, covered topics ranging from the science of seeing and hearing, achieving a patent and autism.
The next meeting with be on April 13th from when we will be exploring the science of fish farming.
The Science Group will be discussing the life and influence of George Green on the 4th of May and hope to visit Green's Mill for the June meeting.
The Science Group visited Green's Mill for the June meeting and had an excellent talk on matters concerning the brain and its development at the July meeting.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday the 7th September and the topic is the physics of music which will be, in part, hands on.
Our next meeting Will be on Thursday 5th October when we will be continuing with the topic of the physics of music
After working through the Earth series of television programmes we have, at the last meeting, looked at the science of the Maya people
