Family History
We meet to explore and find information about our Ancestors including details about their life. We share our methods of research and help each other.
We all have different experience in researching our Family History. You are welcome if you are just beginning or if you have traced your Family back a few hundred years.
It is a fascinating hobby, it is about people, how they lived and worked, so come and enjoy it with us.
We meet at the Royal British Legion, Bramcote Lane, Wollaton. Our meeting time is 11.15am until about 1.00pm on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.
Our next Meeting will be 8th May when you will be made most welcome.
Our Recent Meetings
10th April - Conrad gave a talk about DNA.
14th February 2024 - Julia explained how she searched for The Tragedy Queen and Music Hall in her family.
10th January 2024 - Allan gave use a talk about Wills going back to the 16th Century and how he obtained a translation from the old English.
We encourage all our members to do their own research but will offer help if they need it.
New Members of our Group will always be welcome. If you are thinking of joining us for the first time please contact Mike a few days before you intend to come.
