Behind the Scenes 2019

We had six Tours this year which were well attended.
In March we visited the Natureland Seal Sanctuary in Skegness, where they look after injured and orphaned seals.

Then in March we visited the Lincoln Central Mosque and Cultural Centre in Lincoln. Lincoln Mosque (1) The Mosque opened it’s doors to all faiths and showed everyone around places of interest and was very informative . They made everyone very welcome.
Lincoln Mosque (2)
In July we all went on the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway at Ludborough Station for a ride on a Heritage Steam Train with cream teas on board for all. We were then invited to visit The Sheds and Museum. We all had a fantastic time.

Also in July we all went to the Special Edition Chocolate Drop venue in Market Rasen. We saw the staff making chocolate and then we all painted our own chocolate samples with eatable coloured icing, it was great fun and many took their chocolates home for the grandchildren. Delicious chocolate drinks were served and we all visited the shop to take more chocolates home.

Scampton Heritage Centre In September we visited RAF Scampton Heritage Centre, we felt it may be the last time we would be able to visit this Centre before they move from Scampton.

----- Our last visit for this year was to Lincolnshire Energy from Waste Facility in North Hykeham, members were amazed how they dealt with our waste.

We have had fabulous Tours this year and we all hope to get together in early January 2020 for our Christmas lunch.

If you think this Group is for you why not join us for 2020 you would be most welcome.
