Lunch Club 2
Unfortunately, due to the popularity of this group, it is now at capacity and is unable to take on new members.
Meanwhile, any enthusiastic members of our u3a are always welcome to find out about starting up a new group, for more information please view our group page information.
Our group was formed nearly 6 years ago and has always been well supported.
We meet on the 1st Thursday of each month and aim, as far as possible, to visit a new venue each month whilst also trying not to expect members to travel too far for their lunch.
We like to meet up half an hour before our normal sit-down time of 1pm so that we can “mix and mingle" over a drink in the bar and always specify that we should all be seated together on one table.
Ours is a friendly, informal group of chatty folk who all enjoy good, sensibly priced, pub food and lively conversation.
The venues that we visit are all aware that we pay individually for our food and drink.
Some venues ask us to pre-order our meals in order to make service smoother on the day and the group leader co-ordinates this system by emailing the menu to all group members about 2 weeks prior to the meal.
