Wisbech

Groups

Details of our wide range of groups are shown below.

The range and subjects of these groups depends on members who have a skill or interest which they would enjoy sharing with others, or simply a desire to learn something new.

It is in the groups that friendships are forged as members follow their shared interests.

There are no limits on the number of groups a member can join. Prospective members may attend two taster sessions before joining a group. This can be with the same group or two different groups. Should they then wish to join a single group or multiple groups they must become paid-up members of Wisbech u3a.

You don't need to be an expert in something to start a group! Enthusiasm is more important, and the direction taken is generated by the wishes and aims of group members. If you have a particular interest and think you might like to form a group of like-minded members, please discuss it informally with Susan Bell, our Groups Co-ordinator, or any member of the Committee. They will give you all the help and advice you need. You can make a difference by helping to get a new group off the ground, and we want you to have fun doing it!

There is a network of over 70 national subject advisers, whose role is to provide advice on the setting up of a group in their particular speciality.
They cover a wide range of subjects from American Archaeology to Yoga, with a real mix of academic, practical and leisure activities in between.
Our subject advisers with their contact details can be found in each issue of Third Age Matters or on the National website.
