We are a small and friendly group who read and discuss all types of books, non-fiction as well as fiction. We often don’t share the same opinions on our chosen books which usually leads to lively debate and new insights.
At first we bought our own books but we decided to join the Library book loan service. We have had an initial input into the choice of books during the year but won’t actually know until the meeting what book we will be reading for the next month!
We have to pay for the service provided by the library which is £80 per year. This cost is divided between the members and the cost will be about £10 for 12 books - less than the cost of a reservation.
At the moment we have a full complement of members (limited by the number of books in a set provided) but if you would like to join us if someone retires from the group, please get in touch with Beverley and she will start a contact list.
