Exploring Mathematics ñ
Exploring Mathematics is a joint U3A venture run at present by John Hayter of Winscombe and John Watts of Woodspring. The group meets at 10.30am on the 4th Thursday of the month in various venues. In our first three meetings the group has explored various number problems, discovered that simple fractions have more interesting decimal equivalents and found many intriguing proofs of a theorem named after Pythagoras 2500 years ago. The group is for those who are curious and prepared to be challenged and not for those highly in qualified in mathematics! If any U3A members would like to know more about the group, please send a message.
