Meeting in Greet at 10.00am on the first Wednesday of the month, this Group has covered a wide range of topics which have stimulated much debate.
These include: England has the Mother of all Parliaments. Is it democratic?
Altruism; in what way has it changed over the last 50 years in the UK? What is the legacy of colonialism?
With a little research into each we have come with enlightening facts and interesting discussion and, in true U3A spirit, have learnt something!
The Group is invited to contribute topics for discussion. A topic is circulated before the meeting giving time for consideration. The Group lead will act as chair unless a member is willing to take on the role for a meeting thus adding to variety. Feel free to try us out. Refreshments served at half time.
