Wigan University Of The Third Age
WIGAN U3A brings together local people in their ‘third age’ to develop their interests and enjoy self lead learning in a friendly and informal environment at a variety of local venues.
There are no exams or tests, we share and discover knowledge together, making new friends, learning new things in a friendly and supportive environment.
Members pay an annual subscription, which cover the insurance and administration costs of the meetings and allows them to join in activities lead by Wigan U3A and also other affiliated local U3A groups.
Non-members may attend up to two group sessions before joining in order to try out different group activities.
If you decide to join, please bring a completed Membership Application Form along to a membership meeting or to your next group session otherwise we can provide an application form when you arrive.
Membership meetings are coffee morning where you can join up, meet with the membership, learn about existing groups, hear the latest announcements and connect with invited representative from local support teams.
