Whittlesey & District

News and Events

This section is all about forthcoming News and Events.

Please note that our Open Meetings are always held on the third Thursday of each Month at CHILDERS, Station Road, Whittlesey, starting at 2:00pm. Here latest news of our organisation is given out, including those concerning interest groups, before a guest speaker or a musical item takes over for around 45 minutes. After that we usually hold a small raffle then refreshments are served and a time for socialising with other members, viewing the notice boards, booking theatre trips, etc ensues. These meetings finish at 4pm.
Future Open Meetings comprise a mix of speakers on a range of topics and entertainment, see list on this page. Our AGM in May includes entertainment by WI Choir and our own Singing Group, "Warblers," then we look forward to a talk about Whittlesey Museum and in August, entertainment with "Fools Gold!"
The annual Christmas Party is VERY popular - this year we will be having to restrict numbers with members having priority over guests. An ABBA tribute act has been hired; don't miss it! Join soon!
Prospective new members are very welcome to attend these meetings on a single occasion before making any decision on membership. We will be most pleased to see you.
