WELCOME TO WEYMOUTH & PORTLAND U3A
Welcome to Weymouth and Portland U3A website. Here you will find information about our organisation. The U3A is a world-wide self help learning organisation for those who are retired or semi retired. Our aim is to encourage and enable older people to learn new skills or revive former ones and to help others to do the same. It is a friendly, informal way to follow your interests, to try something new or to share your knowledge and skills.
Monthly meetings are held on the third Friday of each month at St Aldhelm's Church Centre, Spa Road, Weymouth, DT3 5EW. There is no meeting in August. (Check on the Events page for dates of the monthly meetings). Refreshments are served from 10 - 10.20 am followed by announcements at 10.30am and a presentation from an invited speaker with the meeting closing around noon. A charge of £1 is collected at the start of the meeting to cover costs. Details of speakers can be found by clicking the "Events" tab at the top of this page. To view our whole range of activities click on the Groups page
