Scottish Country Dancing
A message from Irene, group leader, following easing of Covid restrictions May 2021
We have an aspiration to restart in September if restrictions progress as planned and I am working very hard with the Hall and following the RSCDS guidelines to make sure everything is in place to be safe when we restart.
When we restart we will be making a very gentle start as fitness may not be quite as it was and we need to rebuild. Former and new members will be welcome to join as no previous experience is necessary.
The group will meet on 3rd Wednesday monthly at 2pm to 4pm at St Andrews Church Hall Preston
If you feel you need to get fit and want something to cheer you over the coming winter months -
1) Cannot or do not want to afford gym membership
2) Do not want to pound the streets in all weathers
3) Do not want to swim length after length in the swimming pool
Then why not join the new U3A Scottish Country Dancing Group? You will hear some wonderful music, meet some very friendly people, work together in a team and of course we all know that dancing (especially Scottish) is the best possible physical and mental workout that we can have.
You do not need any previous dancing experience, special clothes or a partner. Just some soft comfortable shoes and a willingness to have a go!
