History

A message from Lin, group leader, following easing of COVID restrictions May 2021

We can meet indoors and we are exploring when would be a good time to try a face to face for this group, this could be June/July or later. Keen to get going

History is a varied and complex subject and can be approached in many different ways. In our U3A History Group we take an open approach. The group chooses a topic and then we are free to interpret and research it how we like. Come along to our meetings and you will find a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and stimulating discussion.

The group meets at St Aldhelms Church Centre on the 2nd Friday of each month, 2 - 3.30pm
Group contact is Lin Davies

From April, we decided in our History group meeting to start a new subject, namely ‘Trade and Industry through the ages’. This will cover any country and any time period.
