Lets Get Crafting
Under Jackie's instruction everyone in the group produced an individual piece of wool felt using the wet felt method. Some had photographs to inspire them others were inspired by the wonderful range of coloured wool available. It was most peoples first experience felting and I am sure will not be their last.
Jackie has agreed to host another wet felting workshop on
18th February 2.00-4.00

Beginners Crochet was hilarious as we all valiantly'double crocheted' and 'slip stitched our way to produce a fastening bag to hold a phone, tissue packet or that essential spare tea bag. Throughout Sue admirably untied our knots and rediscovered those missing stitches and encouraged us to achieve. A brilliant afternoon - Thank you Sue! session 2 was a recap and an introduction to reading a pattern and making sense of htr dc tr
Provisional next session planned for

Harrogate Knitting and Stitching Show
Thursday 28th November.
Where do you start? The big question arose as we entered the first of many enormous halls containing over 200 stalls overflowing with wools, fabrics, haberdashery and every piece of equipment you could need and some you didn't know existed. Would it be Japanese Sashiko, felting supplies, that new creative embroidery 'wonder' foot for your sewing machine or 'wild' wool reared in the Lake District. Restraint was not easy!
A magical day with so many ideas for future craft and chat sessions - so watch this space!!!
