FELTING WORKSHOP
Jackie hosted another wet felting workshop in February.
The group, using a selection of her beautiful wools and under her expertise completed , as if by magic, a felt pot.
We look forward to another session in the future

BEGINNERS CROCHET

Hello everyone.
Thanks for coming along to my third crochet lesson.
Two people were first timers and grappled with making a foundation chain, learning about a turning chain and then conquering double crochet stitch. A difficult task but they got there!
Three people came showing some granny squares that they had accomplished as homework! They learnt how to make a round foundation ring then double crochet a circle while learning to increase on every other row using a mathematical formulae which caused great hilarity and confusion on my part!
We are now meeting on a Friday from 1.00 - 3.00pm .
Any questions, or if you would like to join us please email me on wpvu3acrochet@gmail.com

What an afternoon! Beginners Crochet was hilarious as we all valiantly'double crocheted' and 'slip stitched our way to produce a fastening bag to hold a phone, tissue packet or that essential spare tea bag. Throughout Sue admirably untied our knots and rediscovered those missing stitches and encouraged us to achieve. A brilliant afternoon - Thank you Sue! session 2 was a recap and an introduction to reading a pattern and making sense of htr dc tr
Provisional next session planned for

Thursday 28th November.

Where do you start? The big question arose as we entered the first of many enormous halls containing over 200 stalls overflowing with wools, fabrics, haberdashery and every piece of equipment you could need and some you didn't know existed. Would it be Japanese Sashiko, felting supplies, that new creative embroidery 'wonder' foot for your sewing machine or 'wild' wool reared in the Lake District. Restraint was not easy!
A magical day with so many ideas for future craft and chat sessions - so watch this space!!!
