Classic Vehicle Appreciation
Activities and meetings are somewhat restricted during the Covid pandemic, but the group is open to new members. Click here for an Example Risk Assessment.
You do not need to actually OWN a classic vehicle to join this group; simply to have an interest in all forms of historic transport. The group will enjoy learning about a wide range of classic vehicles, not just cars.
During the autumn and winter months the group will hold indoor meetings with either visiting speakers, members’ contributions or just to chat. During the spring, summer and autumn months we will organise a number of runs out (possibly providing the opportunity to travel in a classic vehicle) and also attend a number of appropriate events including rallies, shows etc.
The group will organise its own activities to appeal to the interests of the members.
Since most shows are on a Sunday it probably makes sense to hold meetings monthly on a Sunday.
“Classics at The Mill” is an impromptu car meeting held on the second Sunday of every month at St. Catherine’s Hospice starting a 10 a.m. Our first couple of meetings will be there while we discuss what we best want from the group.
Our last visit was the Lakeland Motor Museum where a good time (and meal) was had by all.
