8 Feb - Kirkcaldy Galleries, Kirkcaldy. Includes "Unveiling the Madonna", the oldest artwork in OnFife Museums' collection.
8 Mar - Scottish landscape photography exhibition at Bonnie & Wild, St James Quarter, Edinburgh
12 Apr - Gallery of Modern Art (Modern One), Edinburgh
11 Oct - National Gallery, The Mound, Edinburgh - to see Grayson Perry "Smash Hits" or the newly opened Scottish art galleries.
8 Nov - Dovecot Studios, Infirmary St, Edinburgh - to see Scottish Women Artists exhibition & "Monarchs of the Glen"

10 Jan - Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Queen St, Edinburgh
14 Feb - Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland.
13 Mar - The Great Tapestry of Scotland, Galashiels - this museum was built especially to house the tapestry, which tells the history of Scotland with embroidered panels.
10 Apr - Abbotsford, nr Melrose, home of writer Sir Walter Scott. The house also has extensive gardens that Scott created, plus estate walks and a visitor centre.
Admission: House, gardens and exhibition £14 with reductions for a subscription, 50% off with Art Pass. Standard admission grants you annual admission.

Getting there: One hour plus from Edinburgh by road.
An hour by train from Edinburgh. From Tweedbank Station there is a connecting shuttle bus taking visitors directly to Abbotsford.
