** HAMPTON COURT TRIP **
On a glorious June day, twenty-eight U3A members visited Hampton Court Palace. Group members were able to wander around and explore the Palace as they wished. However for many, the highlight of the day was the private tour led by a guide, who, as the photograph shows, was in Tudor costume. She was a great source of knowledge about life at the Palace, which she imparted in an amusing and entertaining way.
** WANSDYKE ARCHAEOLOGICAL WALK **
On July 21st, members of the History & Archaeology group explored the Wansdyke.
** MOTH TRAPPING **
On August 15th, members of the Natural History and Birdwatching groups gathered to see the amazing number and variety of moths which had fallen into the trap overnight.
** DAY TRIP TO PORTSMOUTH **
The Travel Buddies went on a trip to Portsmouth on November 21st.
** BIRDWATCHING GROUP **
On November 23rd, members of the group were thrilled to have a great view of a White Tailed Eagle on a trip to the Dorset coast.
** CHRISTMAS TREE **
The Creative Textiles and Creative Yarn groups entered a beautifully decorated tree into the Christmas Tree Festival at All Saints Church.
** CHRISTMAS LUNCH **
The annual Christmas lunch was held at The Duke in Bratton on December 12th.
** NEW CLASSES **
Two new classes, PILATES and YOGA, have now started.
