With over a billion users, Whatsapp, owned by Facebook, is one of the most widely used messaging apps. It is a freeware (free to download and use) product, and it runs on a wide range of smartphones. You can send messages, photos, documents and make audio or video calls (including international connections), to single or groups of contacts. It operates over the Internet, therefore, it’s free to use over wifi and will use your data allowance when not on wifi.

Whatsapp is commonly used to send messages to a defined contact group, and it offers the useful feature of allowing the sender to see who has received a message and who has read the message.

The Links below or to the right, gives instruction on how to install the product, and provides a summary of the key features. YouTube links are included to give access to videos on how to install, and how to use Whatsapp.
