Annual General Meeting 2020

Like many of our fellow U3As, for legal reasons and because we cannot meet in person this year, we are having to conduct a virtual AGM.
Carol Cullen has audited our accounts once again for 2019-2020. If you have any questions about them please could you direct them to the Membership Secretary via the Contact page on the website by 10th August. You will receive a reply fairly promptly and we ask that you wait for our response before completing the questionnaire so that you can complete all the questions in one go.

Carol Cullen has agreed to audit our next year's accounts too, subject to the membership approval on the questionnaire.

We are asking you to vote on the resolutions via a short questionnaire, returned to Hilary (see questionnaire). This information will then be collated, recorded and reported to you following a committee meeting to ratify the results in September.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Kathie Dowson
Chair WCR U3A

Is WCRU3A closed or virtually open?

To comply with Governmental instructions regarding social distancing and the avoidance of unnecessary travel, it has been necessary to suspend all normal activities including group meetings and social events until the restrictions are lifted. However, our organisation and group structures are still in place and members are encouraged to keep in touch by telephone and social media.
Also, if at all possible to follow the example of some groups exploring the potential benefits that the internet and video conferencing technology can provide in order to keep in contact and continue to function in some way without the need to leave our homes.
Please see our news bulletins for ways you can do this.

Please note: All visitors will be charged a £2 entry fee to the monthly meeting. If the visitor subsequently decides to become a member, this amount will be deducted from the membership fee.
