KNIT AND NATTER GROUP
We’re well into our 4th year now and must have knitted MILES of wool between us!
There are 20 of us registered with the group although not everyone turns up at once, nor at every session. We’re that kind of group – you come when you feel like it and stay as long as you like.
Some members can’t come in term time, but knit merrily at home and donate their work to some of the charitable causes those of us who don’t knit for ourselves support with our handiwork. Others are continually occupied knitting for grandchildren and other family members, but they know that if they are lost for a project, they can dip into our bag of donated wool for the charitable causes.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, 2 – 3.30pm at the Stratford pub, at the rear of the Co-op – good for parking. We don’t have to pay for the space but we are expected to buy drinks, and their hot beverages are very reasonably priced. We tend to avoid the stronger stuff as we need our wits about us when those needles start flying!
You don’t have to be a well experienced knitter – in fact, if you’d seriously like to learn to knit (after all it is an ancient craft that was in danger of dying out), then I’d be delighted to help someone learn.
We’re just a bunch of ladies who like knitting and a bit of a chat
If you’d like to join us, please give me a ring.
