[Update September 2023]

This group is dormant

We have had many speakers in the 2 years since we formed but have run out of steam.

If you have an idea of a talk or subject area you want to explore, do get in touch with the group leader.

We continue to encourage you to engage with this topic by writing to your MP, and reading the newspapers or join one of the action groups which are around. Friends of the Earth and the Woodland Trust are very busy, do take a look at their websites with the link below.

History of the Group >>>>>>

Climate Change is a HOT topic, this group started in September 2021.

What will we be doing, well getting together for discussion and information updates.

Plan a period of study to get the 'facts', well try to sort fact from fiction.

I've added a handout on 'What can I do' for you to print and post on the fridge door.

At Lark in the Park yesterday with a display, quizzes and questions, very successful, met the Mayor and several other councillors, plus more importantly lots of the general public. It was a great, active day.

it's very hot today! Is this climate change in action?

Click on the link to see what it means by 'CARBON FOOTPRINT', the short video is excellent.

if you want to calculate your own carbon footprint try the Carbon footprint calculator, also in the links section.

There is a link to Lady Bay recycling as they have a variety of 'individual' collection points where odd items can go. Do check it out.

Remember we collect bottle tops for the Dove Hospice, and they can be brought to any open meeting and handed in to the climate change table. Originally it was just milk bottle tops but we now understand all tops including metal are acceptable and wanted.
