West Bridgford

Please read the notice on the right hand side of this screen about the impact of this virus on our U3A.

There are several different types of events covered here.

Every month except for August we hold an OPEN MEETING.

This is held on the 4th Thursday of the month in the West Bridgford Baptist Church. Doors open at 1:45pm when tea or coffee is available and people can find out what is going on from group leaders and a display of forthcoming events.
The formal meeting starts at 2.30pm. Our Speaker Finder (Carol) puts together a varied programme of outside speakers presenting a topic of interest to the U3A members.
Even if the topic does not seem inspiring, the variety and depth of knowledge of the speakers always makes the talks worthwhile.
A recent speaker talked about TOILETS, his name was Bob Reed and he was fascinating and informative.
Did you know that West Bridgford is a toilet twinned town? and a photograph of the said toilet is on display at the WB library.

Social Events

A second type of event covered here is for social events which are open to all U3A members and organised by the social group committee.
There are several events individually advertised below, but here is some advance notice of Social events in the planning stage.

General Interest

Other events advertised here are GROUP related, for example information about a specific group which is useful to bring to everyone's attention.
