Wessington

Groups

...................................

If you are not a registered group member and you wish to attend a group meeting or event you must contact the group leader/co-ordinator beforehand. The same applies if you wish to bring a guest. It is unfair and unreasonable for a group leader to encounter someone they are not expecting on the day of a meeting or event.

We have an arrangement whereby Wessington Members can join the groups of some other U3As in our Network. See the Network page for more information.

If you have an interest that isn't covered by an existing group please contact a committee member (see committee page). There may be several others with the same interest. Also see what other opportunities exist by clicking on More Learning ....

Group Leaders/Coordinators and anyone arranging a meeting at North Biddick Social Club should complete a Booking Form, place it in an envelope addressed to "The Chairman of the Committee" and then hand it in over the bar at the club. Normally a fee will be payable to book the Concert Hall but the Lounge will be free unless exclusive access is required.

Membership of U3A includes Public & Products Liability Insurance and other insurances. Members hosting groups in their homes are covered by these insurances. More details are available on The Third Age Trust website. Two documents have been downloaded for your convenience (Feb 2017) but you should check that these are the latest versions: Insurance Overview and Insurance FAQs

Organised Trips
Organisers of trips/visits should consider if participants should submit a contact name(s) to be used in the case of emergency. A suggested format can be downloaded here: Contact List Form.

The U3A website system, of which this website is part, now limits the number of photos per page to 25. Rather than delete the old photos I have moved them to a cloud and they can now be seen by clicking this link: stored photos. Note, each group has its own separate folder of photos.

The following summary table is also shown at the bottom of all Group Pages, thus allowing quick and easy switching between groups.
