KYNREN 29th August 2020

I have got 25 names for the Kynren trip, anyone else wishing to come along can you please let me know a.s.a.p.

The prices listed below are for ENTRY ONLY this does NOT include the bus to get there. I am busy trying to get prices as it looks like we will have to arrange our own bus as no one seems to do a trip from the North East and are all trips that include a nights stay somewhere. So the bus will be in addition to this price.

WE NEED TO BOOK EARLY TO GET THE CHEAPER PRICES!!

Book early to avoid disappointment : the EARLIER you book the MORE YOU SAVE, the WIDER YOUR CHOICE OF SEAT, and the CLOSER TO THE ACTION you get! The adult prices are listed below:

First Release: 25 Nov - 31 Jan
Standard £25 , Superior £35, Deluxe £47 - VIP £59

Second Release: 1 Feb - 31 July
Standard £30, Superior £40, Deluxe £52 , VIP - £64

Final Release: 1 Aug - 12 Sept
Standard £35 - Superior £45 - Deluxe £57, VIP - £69

I will let people know the cost of the bus as soon as I can as I am waiting for people to get back to me.

If you check the Kynren web page you can see the seating plan and decide what price you wish to pay for your ticket.
I would need at least a £10 non-refundable deposit per person at the next meeting on 20th January 2020, so I can send this onto them before 31st January 2020, to get the cheaper prices!

If I book online there are no booking fees, however, any other method incurs charges which will be passed on.
Anyone not paying in time will then have to pay the higher rate, for the next round of tickets.

On the 29th August the performance starts at 8.00pm as it needs to be dark and runs for approx 1.5 hours. So we will probably be picked up at 6ish. Hopefully at the Club.

Anyone who has their name down and has changed their minds can you please let me know, as the booking arrangements for under 20 people are different.

Hopefully this helps to clarify things regarding the trip. If anything changes I will let you all know.

Carolynn Anderson, 18th December 2019.

National U3A Day 3 June 2020 - Update

This was discussed at the Committee meeting on 2nd December and the following items are of interest:

1. I have contacted the Chairs of Washington and Washington Village U3A and both have suggested a meeting in January to discuss possible joint action.

2. I have also heard from Wearside U3A. Two of their members have received a positive response from Sunderland City Council regarding both the Day itself and U3A in general. They would like to hear from any U3As in the Region who are interested in being involved with events on the day, so I will respond to their email.

3. The U3A Day is an important innovation and an opportunity for us to work with other U3As. If you would like to be involved in any aspect of planning this event please contact Eileen Smith or Margaret Timothy. Margaret has already made preliminary enquiries of the Galleries and they are happy for us to have a stall of some kind there on the day.

4. For more information about the U3A day please have a look at the National Website by clicking here U3A Day
