Do come and join us - there are spaces available in this group.
A forum for members to discuss and debate matters of general, topical and widespread interest.
The meetings are chaired either by the convenor or any other member who wishes to volunteer on that occasion.
The current format of the meetings is as follows: We open the meeting with a discussion on a pre-agreed topic. A group member will have previously agreed to research and introduce that topic with a presentation lasting about 10/15 minutes. The other members of the group will have been aware of the chosen topic and will have had the opportunity to do their own preparation and research. This enables the group to have an informed and, hopefully, educational discussion possibly lasting for up to an hour. The remainder of the meeting is taken up with short discussions on other subjects brought to the meeting by the members.
Please contact the Convenor, John Currell, for further details, using the email link on the right hand side of this page.
Previous subjects can be viewed via the link on the right of this page.
All meetings are held in members homes and are from 10.00am to 12.00 noon on the third Wednesday.
There are no charges or costs involved with this Group.
