Science & Technology
This group which formed early in 2016 evolved from the earlier Science Group. At the moment we are a small but enthusiastic group which meets monthly to discuss any area of science and technology which interests us.
In the past we have discussed, amongst other things:- 3D printing(additive manufacturing), volcanoes, avalanches, Sir Isaac Newton, gravitational waves, wild life conservation in Namibia, quantum computers, gene science, great British scientists, low emission vehicles, robots, autonomous machines, explosions, sustainability, the life of Marie Curie, the Periodic Table and many other things.
We have evolved a particular interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
At our next meeting we invite members to make a short presentation on the Nobel Prize Winner of their choice. The meeting will be held at the convenor's home at 2.30pm on 3rd February
Aims We hope to cover a wide range of Science and Technology Topics
Meetings are on the 1st Monday of the Month and are held in a member's home.
Please contact the convener for more details about the group, via the icon on this page.
