Science & Technology
This group which formed early in 2016 evolved from the earlier Science Group. At the moment we are a small but enthusiastic group which meets monthly to discuss any area of science and technology which interests us.
In the last 12 months we have discussed, amongst other things:- 3D printing(additive manufacturing), volcanoes, avalanches, Sir Isaac Newton, gravitational waves, wild life conservation in Namibia, quantum computers, gene science, great British scientists, low emission vehicles, robots and autonomous machines. Most recently we have discussed the life of Marie Curie, and the Periodic Table.
Aims We hope to cover a wide range of Science and Technology Topics
Meetings are on the 1st Monday of the Month and are held in a member's home.
PLEASE NOTE The next meeting will be on Monday October 1st 2018 at 2.30 pm, when 1 of our members will be giving a talk on experiences in medical science.
