Do come and join us - there are spaces available in this group.
A meeting place for members interested in tracing their ancestors and wider family. To guide beginners and to provide all members, experienced or not, with the opportunity to swap notes, develop their interest and learn from others.
We have formed ourselves into three small sub-groups- A, B,C, which meet in the sub group leaders' home, this is so there is a balance of numbers between each house group. We offer a practical approach to family history research through members’ experience of their own researches, use of websites and software. Twice a year we have a combined meeting for all the sub-groups when we discuss issues of general interest and have a speaker.
When and Where
The sub groups meet approximately bi-monthly in members’ homes.
Anyone interested in playing an active part in the Genealogy Group should contact the group convenor in the first instance to establish how they can best be fitted into one of the sub-groups. Every effort will be made to meet their needs for help in family history research
