Walking Group

If you want some fresh air, exercise and new friends do come and join us

- there are spaces available in our Walking Group.

When and Where
We walk on the 1st Thursday and 3rd Tuesday of each month. The starting time is 10.00am from a car park - often a pub - and we return there for lunch. Walks are circular, taking about 2½ hours and covering about 5 miles. They are planned and led by members.

In the warmer months we do some longer more adventurous walks, listed below under the title *Special*.

Shorter monthly walks for Strollers are available on the 4th Thursday of each month, starting at 10.30am, lasting 1–1½ hours and covering 2 to 3 miles. Please see the separate Strollers group page for more details

Planning
Walk leaders volunteer to plan and lead a walk at planning meetings held in March and September or by directly contacting one of the Convenors.

Walk Programmes
Each Member is emailed a 6 monthly Programme with the starting location of each walk, a brief description and the Leader's name and contact details.

Signing Up for a Walk
Please sign up for walks in advance, either at the Monthly Meeting or by phoning the Walk Leader, whose phone number is on the 6 monthly Walk Programme.

On the Walk
All members walk at their own risk.
Sometimes a group photograph is taken which could end up displayed on this webpage, if you prefer not to be in them please stand to one side.

Associate Members are welcome.

To contact the Convenor please send a message by clicking on the link above and to the right.

Check this website the day before each walk for last minute changes to the published details. It could save you a wasted journey.

All start times are 10.00am unless otherwise stated.
