After discussions between Wells Football Club and the U3A Committee, Wells City has a permanent facility of two pistes located adjacent to the football club grandstand at their ground at Rowdens Road, Wells. Wells U3A members.
John and Wendy, researched, designed and funded the project, at zero cost to the U3A. The facility has been available and in use since Jan 2018.
The Wells U3A “Boules” group which had been in existence for at least 16 years at various locations, renamed Petanque 1 Group, moved there in January 2018
The new Pétanque Terrain was officially opened on Monday 12th February.
