How to join
It is really easy to join Wells U3A. Initially, you fill in a form, post it or hand it in, with your subscription, and you are sent a membership card (with your membership number). Having looked at our website, which I do hope you have, if are interested in joining, contact me, the Membership Secretary or click the bird image on this page to send a message to me. I will reply to you via email answering any questions you may have and I shall be happy to send you an application form too.
Our subscription for the current year is £12 starting 1st February 2020 to 31st January 2021.
If you join after the 31st July the subscription is reduced to £6.00.
Your subscriptions provide you with basic entry to interest groups, lectures and coffee morning as well as the various events which pepper our year, and I am sure you will have read about them in the Groups, Talks and Events sections of this website. All events and activities carry some (usually small) additional cost depending on what you choose.
The subscriptions cover the administration of Wells U3A as well as financially supporting the National Office of the Third Age Trust and its organisation.
You can download a printable copy of our membership application form by clicking on one of the links on this page. There are different versions for new applications and renewals membership. For those who belong to adjoining U3A branches it is free to join if you only attend one group, this does not include events, day trips or our monthly talks. You must supply details of your adjoining U3A branch with your application. Once completed please send it to the address on the Application form.
If in doubt come to one of the Drop in Coffee Mornings for advice.
