|Dates for your Diary|
|Fri May 27th||Causey walk, led by Paul & Julie Stevens (this replaces the Chopwell Woods walk). It's approximately 5.5 miles and is a circular route starting at the Causey Arch car park, which is situated just off the A6076 Stanley to Sunniside road. The walk is over mixed terrain, including a short distance walking on an unpaved country lane. It includes seven stiles, all in a good state of repair. There are a couple of climbs, one in particular that is quite taxing. If we start at 10:00 we should be back at the car park by approximately 12:15 - just in time for a picnic. Directions from Chester le Street: Take the A693 towards Stanley. Having passed Beamish, turn right at the top of the hill - there is a directional sign for Causey Arch/Tanfield Railway. Follow this road and turn right onto the A6076. Follow this road until you see the sign for the car park and tea rooms.|
|Fri Jun 10th||Breckon Hill Woods, led by Pat Davis.|
|Fri Jun 24th||Planning meeting preceded by Hetton Lyons Country Park circular walk, led by Sandra Graham.|
