Welcome to Warsop U3A
The University of the Third Age - is an international organisation providing educational, cultural and social opportunities for people who are retired or not in full-time employment. It encourages groups of like-minded people in their Third Age to remain active in their retirement and to continue with lifelong learning for pleasure. No qualifications are necessary to join - and none are given. See the link opposite Who We Are for a fuller narrative of who we are!
We meet every 2nd Monday of the month at the Tudor Barn, Parish Centre, Church Warsop at 10:15am until 12:15pm. It has car parking and disabled access. For those hard of hearing the front two rows of seating in the meeting room are reserved for their use. We have at present 111 members who pay an annual subscription to enjoy all the benefits of membership of this active and friendly organisation plus the benefits of the national U3A organisation. We can open the way for you to join in with continued learning at national summer schools and to participate in our interest groups where we co-operate for activities and hobbies. Our Interest Groups are only open to U3A members, so to enjoy what is on offer and if you are interested in joining Warsop U3A, you can use the button on the Contact page to ask for further details and to request an application form from the Membership Secretary or come along to one of our meetings as shown in the Notices column on this page were we will be happy to talk to you and introduce you to our members.

Tudor Barn Parking – One way system
It has been noticed that some members are not aware of the one way system for getting in and out of the Tudor Barn car park. It is important that the one way system is followed as if you go out the entrance you cannot be seen by the cars that are leaving by the correct exit.
Warsop & District U3A Constitutions
Every member of Warsop & District U3A should have access to a copy of our constitution.
If you were a member at the time of last years AGM you would have received a copy, if you have mislaid your copy it can be found on the Warsop & District U3A website. If you have joined since last years AGM you will be given a copy as you sign in at the next meeting you attend
Warsop & District U3A is now a member of the NNNG (North Notts Network Group of U3A’s)
This means that you as a member of Warsop & District can ask to join an interest group in another U3A that is also in the NNNG.
Please note that joining another U3A’s interest group depends on whether there is space in the group. A U3A will give priority to its own members.
Anyone wishing to join Warsop & District U3A or renew their membership for 2019/20 ca do so at any monthly meeting or contact the Membership Secretary

To this end all members with an email address have been contacted with an invitation to join the Group. Obviously it is your decision whether to Accept or Decline the invite, also you need to be on Facebook which some of you may not be. As a member of the group you will be able to put your own posts on the page, please keep them relevant to the U3A and what it stands for. We would ask that you don't put anything on that is in anyway party political or anything that may be offensive to others who may be of a different creed or religion.
