Welcome to Warsop U3A
The University of the Third Age - is an international organisation providing educational, cultural and social opportunities for people who are retired or not in full-time employment. It encourages groups of like-minded people in their Third Age to remain active in their retirement and to continue with lifelong learning for pleasure. No qualifications are necessary to join - and none are given. See the link opposite Who We Are for a fuller narrative of who we are!
We meet every 2nd Monday of the month at the Tudor Barn, Parish Centre, Church Warsop at 10:15am until 12:15pm. It has car parking and disabled access. For those hard of hearing the front two rows of seating in the meeting room are reserved for their use. We have at present 111 members who pay an annual subscription to enjoy all the benefits of membership of this active and friendly organisation plus the benefits of the national U3A organisation. We can open the way for you to join in with continued learning at national summer schools and to participate in our interest groups where we co-operate for activities and hobbies. Our Interest Groups are only open to U3A members, so to enjoy what is on offer and if you are interested in joining Warsop U3A, you can use the button on the Contact page to ask for further details and to request an application form from the Membership Secretary or come along to one of our meetings as shown in the Notices column on this page were we will be happy to talk to you and introduce you to our members.
Warsop & District U3A is now a member of the NNNG (North Notts Network Group of U3A’s).
This means that you as a member of Warsop & District can ask to join an interest group in another U3A that is also in the NNNG.
Please note that joining another U3A’s interest group depends on whether there is space in the group. A U3A will give priority to its own members.

Annual General Meeting
The first AGM of the Warsop and District U3A took place on Monday 9th April 2018 at the Tudor Barn, Church Warsop. It was very well attended by 65 members. The meeting received and approved reports from the Secretary and the Treasurer relating to the activities of the Warsop U3A since its creation in November. All Officials and Committee members of the steering group were elected to serve for one year on the committee, there are however still vacancies on the committee which it hopes to fill. At the close of the AGM Jane Paviour of the Regional Committee presented our Chairman with the Certificate of membership of the Third Age Trust. The meeting was followed by a buffet provided by the members and a social get together which included a raffle and a quiz. Click here to see the notes of the AGM Notes of AGM 09-04-18
