Hello and welcome to the March 2021 Newsletter I hope this newsletter finds you all well and looking forward to the next few months as the lockdown starts to ease. I can’t believe that it was a year ago that we last met. It’s has certainly been a difficult year for all of us.
We must now start looking forwards to better and sunnier times. I expect that most of us have had at least the first round of vaccinations. I don’t know about you but because I’ve had the vaccine, I feel that the future is a little less daunting.
There isn’t much to report as, apart from the usual history and photography groups, there is not an awful lot of activity in our u3a. As mentioned in last month’s newsletter, the Committee have a meeting on 15th March. After which I will hopefully have some news about the way forward.
Easter is early this year; 2nd April is Good Friday. It may seem a bit early, but I would like to wish you all a happy Easter, hopefully we will be able to meet some of our family and friends.
There will be a zoom general meeting on Monday 8th March @ 10.30am. There will be the usual quiz, so pens and paper at the ready. I will be sending the link out next week. Please be there if you can.
Until next month, take care and stay safe.

The Warsop & District u3a are not physically meeting at present, however, there are Zoom meetings taking place and some groups are still operating individually such as the Photographic Group and sharing their results via our Facebook page. A Monthly newsletter is also being produced and distributed via GPO and Email.

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:00pm there is a zoom meeting for all members just to chat. This is arranged by the Membership Secretary Jim Shervey. The link for the Zoom meeting is;

The History Group are also meeting via Zoom and have had several guest speakers. The next History Group Zoom meeting is on Tuesday March 16th 2021 at 10:00am when Steve Horne will give his talk entitled "Hero's and Villains of Warsop". Any non History Group members wishing to join that meeting should look for the joining information in their monthly newsletter.

The Photography Group is operating on an individual basis and sharing their results via the Warsop u3a Facebook Page.

Unfortunately all other groups are being stymied by the Virus.

In the meantime, please stay safe and respect the rules. Let us hope we will be seeing everyone very soon.
