Genealogy

Group Leader: Trevor Matthews - contact by email using the form on the CONTACT page. If you are interested in joining this group please contact Trevor first as there is a waiting list to join. Several members have expressed an interest in joining the Genealogy group, but unfortunately the existing group is full. However, Esme Marino has offered to start a second group in the autumn and would like to know the level of interest amongst members.

We meet monthly on the 4th Tuesday in the month at 2.00 pm, at Trevor's house.
NO MEETINGS IN AUGUST & SEPTEMBER. Meetings will resume 22nd October.

Genealogy Group Articles The men of Grove who died for us and ours in the “Great War.” In August 2014 the Genealogy Group held a meeting commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the First World War. As part of this event the Genealogy Group undertook to research and present the names of those on the War Memorial in Grove Parish Church and those laid to rest in the adjacent churchyard. In subsequent issues of Wagtales (our Newsletter) the SIG leader, Trevor Matthews, wrote brief articles giving details of some of the men who died in World War I.

Please use the 'Links' page to read these articles.
