Vacancies

We are an informal, friendly and flexible group. There is no expectation to turn up for every meeting. Just drop in as and when you can, and you will be made very welcome. None of us are experts, but some of us are very experienced photographers while others are snappers. It doesn’t matter what your camera is as long as it takes photographs!

We meet on the last Tuesday of the month. A week after the photoshoot we meet in a venue in Wandsworth town centre to review our photographs.

We are very fortunate to live in such a beautifully photogenic city and we as a group make the most of London and explore it fully for our photography trips.
We always stop for coffee and comfort breaks with a bit of gossip thrown too.

Dates for your Diary
Tue Oct 22nd We are venturing a little further than we usually do. We're off to the small hamlet of Thames Ditton, which dates from the 10th century. The village is on the opposite bank of the Thames to Hampton Court. It has some very old houses and an ancient pub on the banks of the river. The local church is extremely photogenic and has a large graveyard. The village is very quiet and has a very peaceful atmosphere with a picturesque high street.

There are cafes and a pub with toilets on the High Street. This is a relatively easy walk and will suit all abilities.

Meet Maggie for the 10.45am train from Platform 11 at Clapham Junction. This is a direct train and the journey will take 25 minutes. If you prefer you can board the train at Earlsfield or Wimbledon. Trains to Thames Ditton leave every half hour at quarter to and quarter past the hour. I will check this data close to the day. The station is in Zone 6 so your Freedom Pass will apply.

The walk from Thames Ditton station to the High Street will take five minutes. All members of u3a are welcome whether or not you're interested in photography.

As usual, we will meet the following Tuesday in Wandsworth town centre to admire each others photos.
